When it’s meant to be, you know! Rafi met Erin while he was on a conference in Virginia and he wasn’t going to let the fact that he was stationed hundreds of miles away in Hawaii stop him from pursuing Erin.
Erin and Rafi planned for a garden ceremony at the Springdale House in West Columbia, but the weather wasn’t looking too good so they decided to move the party inside and keep having fun! They incorporated Jewish elements into their wedding ceremony like standing under a colorfully decorated huppah and breaking the glass after the first kiss. Erin says about her wedding day-
(My) favorite part about the wedding were when the sun decided to shine about halfway through the reception. It was pretty dry when we left, so it was nice to have a few pictures outside. I love that we decided to do the coffee with a few hors d’oeuvres for guests because of the rain. I think that added a nice touch! My only advice is set aside money for a rainy day fund…you just never know. If you build it into your budget initially, you don’t have to worry, stress, and freak out in the event that your planned garden party wedding ceremony gets moved inside! Haha
Another amazing thing to note about Erin & Rafi’s wedding is that Erin’s mom made the wedding cake! Way to go Momma!
Congratulations Erin & Rafi!
