The Capital City Club is a classy restaurant and wedding venue located high up on the top floor of the tower across from the State House. Carrie and Jonathan chose this as the perfect spot for their wedding reception which was super convenient since their wedding ceremony was held right across the street on the State House grounds. The couple got ready at the club and we did their first look in the lobby area of the tower. It was a great spot for the bridal party to look on from the ledge above because everyone wants to see Jonathan’s face when he sees his bride for the first time!
I just loved the beautiful light coming into that lobby during the day (not to mention the air conditioning). Carrie’s pastel pink bouquet was done by Scott Jones of American Floral.
After the first look, we took the bridal party down to the State House grounds for a few fun photos before the ceremony! I just love those teal bridesmaid’s dresses!
The ceremony was held in one of the quiet gardens near a large Magnolia tree on the side of the State House. Scott put some floral decorations throughout and a beautiful arbor to enhance the already lovely nature setting.
The sun setting behind the State House made a great spot for a few more photos of the bride and groom alone.
Kristi West with Simply Sugar Bakery did an expert job on this ornate pastel layer cake. The couple was introduced into the Capital City Club ballroom and dance the night away with DJ Dave Gilbert of Partytime DJs spinning the music!
The couple did a ribbon exit in the Capital City Club lobby and left down the elevator with a good night kiss!
