Tea Party setup

I was never really a girly-girl growing up but my 9-year old daughter loves nothing more than to put on makeup and dress up in fancy clothes so when I heard that Jennifer Pryor of White House Florists and wedding coordinator Melanie Murphy of By Invitation Only where planning a Mother’s Day Tea party, I knew that not only would it be top-notch gorgeous, but my daughter and I would have a blast!  So I super excited when I found out that the ladies needed a photographer to document this fun Downtown Abbey themed event.  70 people joined us on Mother’s Day Sunday in dressing up and enjoying a “spot of tea” on the White House Florists lawn!  Here’s a few of my favorites from the day!

And for my brides, this theme would make a great idea for a bridal bunch/tea!

Here’s my sweet girl who we figured out likes ice water in tea cups better than tea.  She loved the opportunity to put on a fancy dress, gloves and carry her parasol around!

Chris Godfrey of fab’rik Lexington brought out some super cute summer looks for a fabulous fashion show for the guests.
