Christina and Chandler’s love story started early when they were back in high school.  Apparently, Chandler liked Christina from the moment he saw her and tried to pursue her even in class.  Christina says,

Our relationship started at a bet between Chandler and our high school economics/government teacher. He pulled him out of class at the beginning of the year and told him to give up and to focus more in class. Chandler said he would get a date with me by the end of year. Our teacher said that if was able to do it, that he would pay for our first date. That teacher got a receipt from Bruster’s ice cream brought back to him just before the year ended.

Their relationship blossomed even with busy schedules as Chandler went to college at the Citadel and Christina worked through the beginnings of Medical School.  I was so excited that some of Chandler’s Citadel colleagues would be preforming the sword arch after their wedding ceremony at Union United Methodist Church off of St Andrews Road.  Their wedding reception was held at the SC State Museum.

The teal blue dresses were great for a summer look.  The soft pastel bridal bouquet and the baby’s breath bridesmaid’s bouquets were made by American Floral.

The sword arch is so romantic.  I love the bride’s laugh after the sword arch “slap”.

Once we arrived at the South Carolina State Museum, we took a few more minutes for some portraits around the museum.  The reflection of the sunset off the planetarium made a unique backdrop so we used that as one of our portrait spots and they had some new floral landscaping that I was able to use to add a little foreground!

There’s so many fun wedding portrait spots at the museum!  Christina and Chandler really got the attitude perfect at the brick wall inside the planetarium.

The real party was building up in the Museum front lobby area where the Columbia-based band Seventy Six and Sunny was playing for the guests.  The band built quite an enthusiastic following as they rocked the reception throughout the night!  We were able to get some fun perspectives above the first dances using the second floor level of the Museum!

Christina and her Dad showed off some amazing choreographed moves for their Father-Daughter dance!
