I always enjoy exploring new locations for bridal portrait so I was thrilled when Meredith choose her parent’s home in Laurens, SC as the spot for her bridal session! It also helped that they have an amazing beautiful piece of land which will also be the location of the wedding reception. Storm clouds were building as we got Meredith into her dress, but we were still able to grab a few photos in front of the house with some VERY dramatic skies before the rain started!
A little rain wouldn’t slow us down. Meredith did some great poses by the front door and porch while we stood safely away from the lightening that started to jump across the sky. Fortunately, the storm was short lived and by the time we headed upstairs to do some window light portraits in her Dad’s study, the sun was starting to peek through the clouds already.
One of my favorite images was taken on the front porch as we were waiting for the last of the raindrops to fade away with the sky streaking through the trees. It was such a quiet and serene moment.
Our patience paid off with an amazing rainbow right over Meredith’s house!
Highlights from Meredith & Taylor’s wedding in Laurens SC are coming soon!
