When Runqing boarded a plan from Japan to America, she knew she’d be starting a new adventure, but little did she know she’d meet her future husband on that plane! Here’s a few comments from the bride to add to their story…
We first met each other on the plane flying from Japan to Atlanta. That’s the plane taking me to the States the first time. We didn’t talk on the plane but we found out we are going to the same school after we landed. I borrowed his phone to call back mom and dad.
He proposed to me on his birthday, he woke me up at midnight and asked me to sing him a happy birthday song. After that, he proposed.
Runqing and Yuxiao were married in a lovely garden wedding with an intimate reception including some Eastern touches (fans, yellow/white color scheme). The statement brush stroke cake by Bonnie Brunt had a simple yet elegant look that really fit this unique wedding.
I love the lacy open back of Runquig’s bridal gown. The bride and groom had just their closest friends beside them with her two bridesmaids in short, pale yellow, flowing dresses and the groomsmen in grey suits with yellow bowties.
I asked Runquig, what was her favorite part about the wedding day?
Yuxiao is calm and not emotional most of time. He is very cool and has the totally opposite personality comparing to me. But I can see he was really emotional when I was walking down the aisle. I thought I was the person crying on my wedding but it turns out he was about to cry and I was pretty calm!
Their outdoor garden wedding ceremony was short and sweet followed by photos with some of their close friends!
