Getting to know Maddie & Justin before the wedding, it was really neat to see their “then” and “now” photos, from when the couple just met all that way back in high school on a church ski trip to 7 years later when they were ready to get married!  I was so honored to be a part of their wedding day.  The wedding ceremony was held at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church where Justin is a youth director. Jennifer with White House Florist created this gorgeous bouquet.

There were so many great family-provided details throughout the wedding day.  Maddie’s grandmother made her garter and the ring bearer’s pillow using Maddie’s mother’s wedding gown. The bride’s aunt gave her pearls for her bridal necklace every holiday/birthday since Maddie was born.  The tartan ribbon used in the ceremony to symbolize tying three strands together, wrapped around the bouquet and on the reception tables was brought from Scotland.

Each bridesmaid picked out her own navy colored gown so that everyone had a style that fit their personal style but look how well they all look together too!  I love the flowers against the blue gowns.

I adore the classic lace and pearls look!

The look of the modern-style architecture at Saxe Gotha was really inspiring to me.  I was thrilled to see that Huffington Post weddings decided to feature the seated photo of Maddie & Justin on their national weekly blog feature!

The bride’s Dad decided to sneak in a quick photobomb during our portrait session outside the church.  At least it lead to some great expressions!  Thanks Dad!

Because Maddie told me that Christ was always at the center of their relationship, I wanted to include the cross on the church steeple into one of their portraits.  I love the symbolism.

Maddie’s mom, Stacy, who owns Lexington Paint and Pour, painted the wood sign stood at Corley Mill House entrance & the heart painting for guests to sign.

Everyone likes to be comfortable at their reception so we grabbed a quick fun photo of the couple’s casual dancing shoes while we were outside for a few more portraits!

Justin’s Grandfather brought his amazing antique car for the grand exit (and a few photos beforehand!)
