When people think of the historic SC State Museum, they probably don’t think of weddings, but it’s a great venue for a wedding day!  The museum keeps some of the feel of the original old Mill like the exposed brick walls and high ceilings, but there’s also amazing modern features like the expansive domed planetarium.   Tayler & Will saw the appeal of this unique Columbia icon and chose the State Museum to host their wedding ceremony and reception.  I started the day with Tayler getting ready in her room at the Columbia Marriott hotel.  I love her lacy dress and jeweled details like the beautiful belt she added to her dress and her shimmery tiara.  And those cute flats are both stylish and comfortable!

The blue and gold color scheme came together so well with the bridesmaid’s gowns and the groomsmen’s gold vests.  Bloomsbury Floral Designs did a fantastic job on these lovely and fragrant bouquets.

The guests arrived at sunset for the wedding ceremony.

Will said one of the things that caught his eye about the museum where the cool designs on the brick wall windows so we definitely had to incorporate those into a few portraits.  There are so many great photos spots but we picked the catwalk and the planetarium dome as our next two favorites.  Huffington Post featured Tayler & Will’s dome photo on their weekly wedding feature!

Blue Marlin Signature Catering kept the guests well fed with an elegant sit down dinner and DJ Dave with Partytime DJs got the crowd dancing all night long!

Congratulations Tayler & Will!  I hope you’re having an amazing time on your honeymoon cruise!
