We had some beautiful summery weather for James and Hannah’s engagement portrait session at the SC State House.  Hannah and James first met when they were 13 years old on a bowling trip but it wouldn’t be until a few years later that they became close friends.  After two years of friendship, James worked up the courage to ask Hannah out and their relationship blossomed from there.  Here’s how Hannah describes James’ proposal-

He proposed to me at the Children’s Garden at Clemson Extension. That location has been special to us throughout our whole relationship. Our first date was there and we’ve been back there many times for picnics and walks. He thought he was being really sneaky about the proposal but I knew that he was proposing by the way he was acting. We walked around for a bit and then he took me up onto the little stage that they have there and hugged me and we talked about our relationship and then he asked if I would marry him!

I love how easily they could make each other laugh and smile!
