Sometimes love just falls into a place as if it was made to be! Brittany & Ryan’s chance meeting seemed like it was perfectly planned. Here’s how Brittany tells the story of their meeting-
Ryan is in commercial real estate and he walked into my office one day cold-calling. Totally a God thing because he usually doesn’t work in that area. I happened to walk up to the front reception area and he gave me his card to follow up. A month later he invited me – via work email – to a concert.
It’s a good thing that Brittany said yes because around 3 years later, we were getting ready for their wedding day! It was a joy to join Brittany & Ryan at their rehearsal dinner at the Capital City Club. It’s so nice for me as a photographer to get to know the couple and their closest friends and family so that on the wedding day everything goes even smoother!
Scott Jones at American Floral did an amazing job with the flowers for the rehearsal dinner.
Bonnie Brunt Cakes created this amazing cake which was Brittany’s gift to Ryan! Ryan is an avid golfer and the custom cake incorporated things from his college, his job at the golf course and their wedding date on the little flag.
The Capital City Club was an excellent venue choice because with many of the guests coming from out of town, some as far as Canada, the club provided a panoramic view of the whole city including the State House grounds and Williams Brice stadium. Plus, the venue made it very easy for the group to stop over at the Vista and check out a little Columbia nightlife when the party was over. And they have delicious food!
I love that sunset!
I really enjoyed hearing the family talk about Brittany & Ryan as they were growing up and hearing how much love each family had for their new son or daughter. It’s so beautiful when two families come together so seamlessly.
More photos from Brittany & Ryan’s wedding day are coming to the blog soon so stay tuned!
Katie Hart of Palmetto Duo did a fantastic job for us, as well as the Capital City Club! We couldn’t be more pleased!
