Today’s throwback is all about Lena & Ahmed amazing Lace House wedding.  The couple’s wedding celebration mixed Hindi & Muslim traditions, nods to their new life in New Orleans and an exquisite collection of wedding details and decor in a golden color scheme.  We started the day taking photos of Lena’s details at the Lace House.  She had a traditional Hindi dress for the ceremony as well as a modern white dress to change into for the reception.  Her bridesmaids wore saris and had their hands painted with henna as well.

The gold colored drapery was a simple detail that added a feeling of elegance and sophistication to the reception tent on the Governor’s mansion mall.

In New Orleans style, the bridal party danced into the reception carrying these colorful umbrellas.
