Doing newborn portraits at home is such a great idea to me.  Lauren emailed me once they came home from the hospital with little baby Claire and we picked an afternoon that week to do her first portraits!  I love including the nursery details in baby’s first photos because these will be the cherished symbols of this child’s entry into the world for years to come.  In fact, Lauren even had some of her items from when she was a baby, like her knitted blanket and classic white bonnet.  We incorporated some of the books on Claire’s shelves like Goodnight Moon and the art from her walls.  The other wonderful part about being at home is whenever Claire got hungry or fussy, Mom and Dad were ready to feed her or rock her in the rocking chair.  I am so honored to have been part of Claire’s first portrait session.  Congratulations Lauren & Justin!
