I’ve done a few weddings at the Riverbanks Zoo but they’ve always been on the Garden side of the park so I was thrilled that Stacey & Ryan’s reception was planned for the Riverbanks Zoo Ndoki Lodge in the heart of the African Safari section of the zoo.

But before we get there, let’s talk about the proposal!  Ryan had planned a romantic proposal right in Disney World!  As Stacey tells the story-

Ahhh! Disney World. Cinderellas Castle. Fireworks. Shall I say more? He did a FABULOUS job making it one of the most memorable and surprising moments of my life. He even bought special shorts with a secret pocket to keep the ring in while we rode rides. He makes my heart happy!

Awwww!   Way to go Ryan!  

We started the big day with Stacey and the girls getting ready at her home.  The flower girl was just too cute, trying on high heels, putting on makeup, and pretty much running the show.

We grabbed a few photos of the bridal party around Saluda River Baptist church where the ceremony was held.  I love their short summery teal dresses.

The bride and groom held hands and exchanged letters before the ceremony.  I love this new tradition!

Before the couple entered the reception, we got a few portraits of the two of them in front of the lush landscaping around the zoo.  I love that there was so much beautiful greenery that we could peek through or pose them against.  

It’s not every wedding that you have an elephant hanging out by the bar.

You knew this was going to be a fun party when the bridal party started off the reception with a flash mob dance immediately after introductions.    

I was so excited to get Stacey and Ryan outside after dark between the tiki torches that line the entrance to the Ndoki Lodge.  Talk about ambiance!  

The newlyweds exited the reception to a glowstick farewell!  Congratulations Stacey and Ryan!
