Kate was a relaxed and happy bride on her wedding day and she said the first look was such a great part of that.  First of all, these two were really excited to see each other on the wedding day! Second, we were able to do all the family photos beforehand, so no one was having to stand around and wait on them and afterward the ceremony, the bridal party and family all headed straight to the bar to start relaxing, so they loved it too!  Here’s what Kate liked about the first look in her words-

We enjoyed the first look because it was a time for us to take a step away from all the stress of planning and remember why we were there – for each other! It was much more personal and allowed us to get to our guests sooner once the ceremony wrapped up. It also didn’t take away from the walk down the aisle like I thought it would… if anything, it just made us more excited for that moment. For me it also took away the stress of feeling like everyone is standing around waiting on me – that would have created some anxiety and I probably would have rushed through them too quickly.

Definitely a great decision in our opinion, and we love the photos we have seen as well!

Since we had already done all the family photos beforehand, Kate and Chris took a few moments to themselves as newlyweds and got a few sunset portraits in the gardens!
