I’ve heard a lot of engagement stories and Jonathan really outdid himself with a truly sweet and elaborate proposal plan! As Brittnee tells the story-
Jonathan surprised me by putting together a scavenger hunt on our 1 year anniversary. He had envelopes made like the Amazing Race and put them at different places that we’d gone on dates to throughout Columbia. At each location there was a different set of family or friends to give me the clue and then at the last location everyone was there and he popped the question.
Brittnee and Jonathan had originally planned for an outdoor, garden ceremony at the Corley Mill House, but the December weather was not cooperating. Saturday’s forecast was for cold, drizzly rain all day, so they set up for an indoor ceremony inside the lovely reception hall. The main house was decorated for Christmas so it made a beautiful backdrop for the first look and some family photos before the ceremony.
I love the ornament keepsakes for the guests. A perfect December wedding favor.
A little rain wasn’t going to scare us. We grabbed an umbrella and adventured out to the front porch and the gazebo for a few quick portraits.
Congrats Brittnee & Jonathan!
