If you made a map, with strings and pushpins, of all the place people traveled to be at Katie and Austin’s wedding, it would look like a firework starting from South Carolina and going in every direction! Even the bride and groom traveled from Korea to get married in Columbia. With the help of Melanie Murphy and her team at By Invitation Only, 701 Whaley was transformed into a warm, homey gathering place with elegant wood tables and wine barrels, shimmering chandeliers and lots of great food and wine!
The couple chose to do a first look so we went into the Granby room so they could have a private moment in front of the ceremony archway.
The ceremony was held “in the round” and officiated by Rabbi David S. Gruber of Interfaith Wedding Rabbi and the bride’s Grandmother.
The rain didn’t stop us from getting some sweet photos of the bride and groom before they entered the reception.
And what a gorgeous reception! I love the cafe lights!
Here’s some of the delicious food by Loosh Catering.
The groom’s mom made the adorable wine cork cake topper.
Toasts followed by the Hava Nagila dance always makes for great photos opts!
Congratulations Katie & Austin and thank you for letting us be part of your big day!
