I was excited to hear that Megan was planning her wedding because I’ve started to feel like part of the family after photographing the weddings of both her sister, Lauren, and her mom, Rene! I was even more thrilled when they started planning the event at 701 Whaley, where my office is based, and with Melanie Murphy, one of my favorite wedding planners. And it was truly an amazing day! I started the day with Megan and her family and friends getting ready at 701 Whaley.
These sparkly heels are very “Megan”.
The couple’s sweet kitty was included in the getting ready fun too!
How adorable are the flower girl and ring bearer?
The decor in the Grand Hall at 701 was just breathtaking. Sparkling crystals dangled from the lush flower arrangements, a 5000+ petal chandelier hung above the checkerboard dance floor and for one more elegant touch, Melanie and her crew at By Invitation Only had weaved linens into all the chair backs giving the room a very classy, luxury look! Clean black and white with accents of pink was the perfect color scheme!
The ceremony was held in the Granby Room.
What a memorable dancefloor!
One of my favorite moments was during the quieter part of the reception. I noticed that Megan and John were having a good time with some of their friends on the dance floor and I could tell they were setting up for a dance move so I moved myself in the best position to see them and sure enough, Megan took a long run towards John and they pulled off the most epic Dirty Dancing lifts you’ve ever seen! It was sooo adorable and one of the highlights of my night.
