It’s amazing when you can be surrounded by family and friends on your wedding day, but being surrounded by elephants, meerkats, seal and flamingos too- that’s a real treat!  Liz and Alex visit Riverbanks Zoo a few times a month so it naturally seemed like the perfect place for their wedding ceremony and reception. Animal cracker favors and zoo animal centerpieces showed their love of animals and the zoo but they also added details of their other passions, such as music in the ceremony from Jurassic park and Star Tech, a Star Wars cake topper and a lightsaber bouquet holder.

Before the ceremony, we took a few separate photos of the bride by the Ndoki Lodge and the groom by the seal exhibit.

The bride was able to wait for the ceremony to begin at the aquarium so we took some fun photos there.

The animals couldn’t help being excited too as the ceremony time ticked closer.  The meerkat seemed to be looking for his slice of cake, seals danced and the flamingos sang a little song.

After the ceremony, the guests had an opportunity to feed the giraffes.

We snuck away to a quiet corner of the Ndoki Lodge for a few photos of the bride and groom.

Congratulations Liz and Alex!
