I had a great time getting to know Kayla and Carson at their engagement in Florence. It was fun to personalize their portrait by including some of their favorite books, Carson’s guitar and their sweet cats. And they brought their passion for their shared hobbies into the wedding as well! As Kayla put it “We are huge nerds and have included several things into the wedding as a nod to our mutual interests.” They had Lord of the Rings accents in the programs and signs, Dungeons & Dragons dice in the ceremony to see who got to read their vows first, guitar pick favors and my favorite- since they’re both chemists who met at work, they did a sand ceremony into a little beaker!

I started the wedding day with Kayla getting ready for their first look at the garden side of the zoo.

After the first look, we took some portrait of the couple around the garden and then added their friends and families.

The garden fountain makes a perfect ceremony backdrop.

The garden at sunset is so magical!

Here’s a few of those cute details including their 3 adorable cats playing on the wedding cake!

DJ Ronny of Partytime DJs kept the dancefloor hopping!

Aren’t they the sweetest couple? I’m so happy for you both! Congratulations Kayla & Carson!
