Taylor & Jake's Adam's Pond Wedding - Hart Photography

If you’re getting married, who better to stand by your side, then man (and wife’s) best friend? I adore that Taylor and Jake, who got married this weekend at the Millstone at Adam’s Pond, chose their border collie, Flynn, to be the ringbearer for their wedding ceremony. And he took his job seriously, “helping” Jake get dressed, trotting down the aisle with a greenery collar arrangement and sitting quietly until it was his turn to deliver the rings to his people. So cute!

I started the day with Taylor getting ready in the Adam’s Pond Bridal suite.

Wedding coordinator, Ashly, and the rest of the By Invitation Only team helped the couple stay relaxed and calm before the ceremony because they had all the beautiful details under control, including a gorgeous floral chandelier in the clear tent.

This was a tradition that was new to me- bury a bottle of bourbon at your ceremony site to prevent rain on your wedding day. And don’t forget to dig it up after the ceremony so you can enjoy a tasty beverage.

Taylor and Jake also had the idea to exchange vows semi-privately (within view of the cocktail hours guests after the ceremony while they had dinner together on the balcony. I thought that was a fun idea!
