This couple’s story begins on Tanya’s move in day freshman year at Clemson.  Will had volunteered to be a “welcome leader.”  In the bride’s words,

I asked Will for directions on how to get to one of the buildings on campus.  He said he would walk me there. And the rest is history! Will gave me the most perfect proposal. He took me back to Clemson to where we first met and proposed to me on Bowman field–one of the campus landmarks.

With Will serving as active military, Will and Tanya have spent lots of time cultivating their relationship from afar and they’re excited to start a new life together at last!

I love the family-oriented details from this wedding.  Tanya carried on her bouquet a bit of lace from her mother’s wedding dress along with a beautiful antique broach from the groom’s side of the family.  The ceremony was held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Asheville, NC.  The lively reception included Ukrainian traditions such as the random of the bride and groom and a Kerchief Dance, where the bride shares her veil with all her bridesmaids while they dance!
