Laura and Mike were married at their church, Spring Valley Baptist on Polo Rd in NE Columbia. They wanted to do a first look so they could take family photos before the ceremony and therefore would be able to spend more time with their guests at the reception- but we kept a few traditions as well! Before we did the first look, Laura and Mike stood on opposite sides of the church wall and exchanged personal letters. After some emotional moments to build up the suspense, we set Mike up at the front of the church and had him turn his back until we had Laura at the front of the aisle. Then as Laura was walking down the aisle, Mike turned around to see his beautiful bride. This captured Mike’s first reaction to Laura just as it would during the ceremony, but the great part was that as they met at the front of the church they had a few private moments to hug, laugh, and talk before we brought the family in to join in the fun!
The wedding reception was held at Woodcreek Country Club. The golf course made a great backdrop for some evening portraits after the couple had time to greet their guests and get a bite to eat!
