For me, one of the truly meaningful parts of being a wedding photographer is knowing that I get to capture moments that the couple will share with their children, grandchildren and hopefully generations on. I was reminded of great traditions handed down across families as Ashley and Troy got married last weekend in the same church that her Grandparents had been married. Her 99 year old Grandmother was even able to attend the wedding! The planned their reception at 701 Whaley with a pink and gold color scheme which worked great with the exposed paint walls of this photogenic venue.
Ashley’s beautiful lacy dress hanging up in the entrance at Ascension Lutheran Church.
These floral bridal robes for the bridesmaids were too cute! I want one!
The first look with Dad is one of my favorite recent wedding trends. What is better than being able to capture a proud Dad’s face as he sees his baby girl for the first time on her wedding day? Such great moments!
The gorgeous bridesmaids and their bouquets by American Floral.
A dramatic red church door makes a great backdrop!
The bride and groom sharing a quiet moment in the church by the stained glass windows is one of my favorite images of the day!
Captain Telegram picked the bridal party up in his trolley and got everyone safely to the reception at 701 Whaley.
Ashley has a snazzy sign made to welcome the guests to the reception. The pink color of her table linens look great in the 701 Whaley space.
Wow! This is one dramatic hanging floral arrangements by American Floral! The even set up a little couch for the guests to lounge on.
This is one of the prettiest cake setups I’ve ever seen. Parkland Cakes designed the cake, American floral added some flowers and Partytime DJs added the pink uplighting. The bubble chandelier is a great extra touch!
We snuck away for a few moments after the first dances to grab a few more portrait of the bride and groom alone.
The guests grabbed some shades and started to rock the party as DJ Dave of Partytime cranked up the music!
Surprise! Cocky made an appearance at the reception to dance and grab a few photos with the couple and their guests!
How fun is this family?! The bride’s Mom and Dad are rockin’ the sing alongs!
Congratulations Ashley & Troy!
