Walking into Chris & Tammie’s reception at 1208 Washington Place was like stepping into an 1920’s New York movie! Melanie Murphy and her By Invitation Only team did an amazing job of styling this venue with a sophisticated elegance that perfectly fit this amazing couple! The wedding day began at Rosewood Baptist Church.
The bride and groom wanted to mingle with their guests during cocktail hour so we did a first look at the church before the ceremony to take all the family photos ahead of time!
The reception was styled in a black and white theme and the diamond shaped dance floor make a perfect focal point from the aerial view. DeLoach Florist designed the simple, but elegant greenery centerpieces and table garland.
Southern Way catering presented the guests with a lovely seated dinner. I love those clear charger plates too!
One of my favorite details was the decorative uplighting by Ambient Media. The floral look on the ceiling added such a refined, up-scale ambiance to the room.
A fun feature about 1208 Washington Place is that it used to be an old bank and they still have the 1920 vaults installed which makes a really unique backdrop for photos. The little alcoves like the vault and the library with fireplace allow guests to relax away from the crowds and the alleyway even served as a cigar bar and cozy smoking area.
I love being able to get an overhead view for the first dances!
Congratulations Tammie & Chris!
