There’s so much to love about the historic Kershaw Cornwallis House in Camden SC. The original house was used as a supply post during the civil war. Although the home was burned by troops, an archaeological dig in 1968 revealed the home’s foundations and it was rebuilt to historical accuracy in 1977. The house itself has tall white columns and a grand staircase in the back and front, as well as an ornanate interior including beautiful carved wooden doorways. The garden in the back is the perfect spot for a wedding ceremony and reception. Katie & James planned their ceremony for St Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Camden, and chose the historic Kershaw Cornwallis House for their outdoor wedding reception.
I’m so in love with these doorways!
The bride and groom arrived at the Kershaw Cornwallis house from the church by horse and buggy! How appropriate!
