You can really see springtime begin at the Millstone at Millstone at Adam’s Pond. The trees are starting to bud leaves again, flowers are blooming, and there’s the signature reflection of green in the pristine pond. This Saturday was the perfect spring day for Morgan and Donovan’s wedding at Adam’s Pond. We started the day with Morgan’s Mom putting her hair up in curlers in the bridal room. Morgan was so relaxed and easygoing.
Morgan had a great team of friends and family to help her get ready. It wasn’t until the wedding dress and the veil came on that the wedding day started to sink in and eyes started watering. I love that in this photo you can see the proud Momma and her awestruck bridesmaids in the background.
Donavan had a great crew as well getting him ready for his first look with Morgan.
After their first look, Morgan and Donovan took a few photos together in front of the house before they were joined by their bridal party and family.
Let me introduce the recipient of the “best supporting character” at Morgan and Donovan’s wedding, their dog Weezie. So absolutely adorable with her pearls, tutu and baying bark, Weezie did an amazing job as the ring bearer. Yes, the dog carried the rings. If you’re thinking about having your dog in your wedding party- just do it! She was so cute!
Funny story- their friend and dog sitter was picking up Weezie for the wedding, there were 4 dogs to choose from. So, she snapped a quick photo and sent it to Morgan’s bridesmaid asking “silly question, but did I get the right one?” The friend went on to tell us that Weezie was howling like she had been dog-knapped! She was much calmer once she got dressed in her wedding tutu though. I guess she figured she was in the right place.
Reverend Kevin officiated a beautiful ceremony talking about how it was the simple things in life, like doing laundry together on Valentine’s Day (which happened after their marriage counselling session), that make the big difference in a marriage.
I broke out my infrared camera for a few photos. This specialized camera works great in the spring because it records all the infrared light bouncing off foliage and shows it as white. I think it’s a really unique fun look.
Southern Way put together a seated dinner for the guests on the patio beside the murmuring creek lined by Spanish moss , accented by the setting sun.

I’m so in love with these sunset shots! What an amazing couple!
At the reception, Donovan had a surprise planned for his bride. Morgan’s brother blindfolded her and when she turned around, Donovan was by playing a song he wrote for her. How sweet!
The couples took a short honeymoon to Florida and are taking a longer trip to the Philippines in the fall where they’ll meet with some of Donovan’s family and enjoy exotic sites and food. It was such a pleasure to be part of your wedding day- Congratulations Morgan and Donovan!
