This wedding was a little unusual because I didn’t meet the bride until the wedding day.  Bri was planning the wedding from afar because she was stationed with the Navy in Japan!  William’s Mom did an impressive job of helping coordinate everything including me, so it was exciting to get to meet Bri on the big day.  I was blown away by how thoughtful and down to earth Bri was.  She had almost not made it to the wedding because Japan was getting threatened by a typhoon but fortunately it took a turn away from her city so she was able to make her 14 hour flight to the US!

Long distance relationships aren’t easy, but it seemed effortless for William and Bri when I saw them together.  William had proposed to his bride while they were vacationing in France.  How romantic!  They enjoy travel, cooking and video games.  I could also tell that these two shared a great sense of humor- William had Bri laughing all day long which is wonderful because Bri has a lovely contagious smile.

I started the day with Bri and her bridesmaids, who had also traveled hours to be here for their friend, at the church.

Despite her busy travel schedule, Bri took time to hand create this beautiful wedding broom.  She’s so creative!

A sweet moment was when Bri picked up her ukulele to play a little song to calm her wedding day jitters.

Because of the first look, we were able to get lots of the family and bridal party photos before the ceremony started!
Bridal Party
Can I just say, this was one of the sweetest blending of two families that I have ever witnessed at a wedding?  It was as if they had always been one big happy family with everyone hugging, celebrating and of course, dancing together all night!

There’s that beautiful laugh!   I had envisioned this photo of the couple behind the cross as soon as I saw the adorable little prayer garden.  I love how it turned out.
